It has the most amazingly full sound of any 12-string I've ever played. Most tube amps have separate channels that can switch from clean to distorted tones instantly. It has one finer tuner on the Floyd missing the bottom E string , however it has a temporary replacement screw. We aren't very far from Memphis. One of the 'benefits' of getting older.
It has a beautiful, straight and tight grained Sitka spruce top with no flaws in it. Very solidly built, serial no 00345831, and in good condition. It's a big guitar which can make a 'lot' of noise so even without amplification it holds its own in the band. Just had to replace the non-original pick-up selector switch. A little history: This find has me happy.

I have one, black with black rosewood fingerboard and pearl dots. He always gets a cool tone though that gear. I went back to Peavey again, and the Tracer Deluxe came out in both 22 and 24 fret models. I did notice however that the plain steel strings appeared to have some rust on them, but that did not effect the tone, it was no big deal, because I always change the strings or have them changed on any guitar I first acquire, whether used or new. My wife bought this for me one Christmas over 10 years ago. No pics, but it looks a lot like the previous poster's! The rosewood back and sides are equally beautiful. The tone quality is fantastic and it has nice neck action.

Those were the only dates that made any sense with the numbers contained in my serial because it was obviously not a 1955 or 1959 model. If it fails for the same defect 3 times, it is replaced on the 4th breakdown. The expected Martin quality, fit and finish are all there.
